Digital galleys from First to Read are available to read on your computer, eReader, or mobile device with software that supports Adobe Digital Editions (ADE).
If you do not already have Adobe Digital Editions, you’ll need to first download and install it. During Adobe Digital Editions installation, please select “Associate .acsm and .epub file types” option.
Digital galleys from First to Read are DRM-protected files. This means the file must first be opened and authorized through Adobe Digital Editions before you can read on your device.

Follow these instructions to transfer files from your computer to a supported eReader device through Adobe Digital Editons.

Note: You must authorize Adobe ID on Aldiko application to open .acsm file, which is available in the Settings option. Here are some instructions on installing the Aldiko Book Reader on Kindle Fire.

Your Adobe username and password from your computer must match what you enter into the reader app you wish to use to read your galley. You should only have to do this once.
You can find the username that is authorized for your machine by opening ADE on your computer. (Go to Help and select “Authorization Information.” The screen will display the username that is authorized for the machine.)
