The New York Times bestselling author of New Leaf returns to Mystic Creek, Oregon, where a wounded heart finds a place to call home. . . .

After a career on the rodeo circuit, Ben Sterling longs to settle down on his farm and start a family like his brothers. He’s searched all over for the woman of his dreams. Yet the only one to spark his interest is the new owner of the local café. Getting her attention, however, won’t be easy.

Sissy Sue Bentley has worked hard to make it on her own, and she doesn’t need another man in her life. From her alcoholic father to the men she’s dated, who were after only one thing, they are nothing but trouble. Except Ben keeps showing up whenever she really needs help. Sissy struggles to deny her growing feelings for him—but soon Ben’s tender concern has her hoping for a happier future. Then her past comes barreling back into her life, and it will take more than the love in Ben’s heart to hold them together.

Advance Galley Reviews

Penguin First ARC. 3 of 5?s This book can be read as a standalone without any problems. Mystic Creek is a small town where there are no secrets and everyone is family. Sissy moves there to run the restaurant her aunt left her and make her dream of independence come true. Can Ben convince Sissy that he loves and wants to marry her? You'll find out in the end if he can. Fast paced read. Some heavy subject matters but believeable written.

I had read Catherine Anderson's New Leaf through the First To Read program and it was an exceptional book. Mulberry Moon was not as good as New Leaf. It was a good story but at times I felt that the things were dragged. I will give it 3 stars.

This was my first book from this author and glad first to read gave us to read. But can say I really enjoyed this book. The suspense for the relationship was a tad much to long but Ben to sassy was sooo freaking adorable and feel don't see it to much in real world/ even in books. Last one other thing that made this book really good was adding involvement of animals to be part of the story and not just small but the love of animals and helping both connect. So overall 5/5 and I'll proubly read more stories from mystic creek.

Mulberry Moon was my first read from Catherine Anderson and I really enjoyed it. Being from a small town, I do have a special place in my heart for small town romances. Besides being set in a small town, what I liked most about this book was the Sissy and Ben's romance wasn't rushed. It wasn't one of those 'boy meets girl and then bam they're in love and halfway down the aisle already' type books. Sissy made Ben prove himself and his character to her. While I do appreciate romances of all levels of spiciness, I appreciated the more toned down/slower approach taken in this book. In my opinion it definitely made Sissy's character more believable given her past history with men and Ben's willingness to wait and his patience with her made him a really loveable hero. Another thing I enjoyed about this book was that Anderson paced the story just right. It wasn't too slow or too fast. She also did a great job with the secondary characters. Overall I would give this book a 3 out 5 stars and look forward to going back and reading the previous books in this series.

This was a sweet romance between a man who won't give up and a woman who learns to open her heart up to love and trust again. I loved the book and could hardly put it down! The characters were truly enjoyable to read about. I even adored Snickers! (won't give that spoiler away!) Thank you Catherine Anderson and First To Read!

First time reading this author and it will not be the last. Very good book kept me wanting to read more. I received an advance reader's copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

Mulberyy Moon is a sweet small town romance. It is book 3 in the Mystic Creek series, but can be read as a standalone. The main characters, Ben and Sissy, were both likeable, but after a while I found Sissy’s past and repeated bad luck to be too much. It was so horrible, it seemed impossible that this could have all happened to one person. Also, her back and forth with Ben grew tiresome and only made Ben look more like a saint for putting up with her. I just never felt the connection between them and there wasn’t a lot of character growth or development. I'm sure many readers will still enjoy this story, but for me, Mulberry Moon was just an ok overly dramatic romance. *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book. Many thanks to the First To Read program.*

This is the third book in the Mystic Creek series, but the first one that I read. I had no problem following the story and this book can easily be read as a standalone. I will definitely read the rest in this series to find out about the rest of the Sterling Family. Sissy Bentley has moved to Mystic Creek to run the diner left to her by her aunt. She has a questionable past and does not want to get involved with men, any man! Her childhood was extremely dysfunctional and as a result, she finds it hard to trust anyone. Ben Sterling, born and raised in Mystic is well to do, has a good education and is ready to settle down. The problem is that he has not found the right woman, that is, until he met Sissy. She is everything he wants in a woman. Sissy is quite prickly towards Ben and although he goes out of his way to help her, she remains quite distrustful of his motives for his assistance. She tries to dislike him, but he keeps getting in her way, helping her out, being kind to her and she finds herself starting to care for him. She can't let that happen. There is a lot of fun in this story, chasing chickens, building a coop and run, and the mysterious intruder??? Ben has the patience of a saint as Sissy continues to blow hot and cold. Just when he thinks he is making progress, up goes the wall. Through all this, Ben is a perfect gentleman, kind and respectful, never giving up. The story took a very serious twist when it came time to deal with Sissy's realistic baggage. This was the one part that seemed just a little over the top. It is hard to believe anyone could have had that much bad luck and mistreatment over the years. Sissy's hard luck continues for the most of the novel. Sissy just cannot seem to catch a break, from runaway chickens, to lice killing her chickens, to a ghost or something stealing from her to a broken leg, it keeps coming. When Sissy is finally willing to take a chance with Ben, her past comes back to haunt her and in order to protect Ben, she pushes him away. Can their love survive? This was a quick read. The book kept me turning the pages until I finished. I recommend this book to romance lovers, as well as those who love the West and the stories that go with it.

Super cute story. I truly couldn't put it down. Ben and Sissy are clearly meant to be but of course they each have serious backstories that keep them from one another. The author spent a great deal of time building the characters and the story....and it was so worth it. Amazing author. I will definitely read more from Catherine Anderson!

I received a copy of this book from First To Read. This is a truly amazing story of love. Sissy is a tortured soul and an inspiring character, and Ben couldn't be more patient and loving. This is well written full of drama, heartache, love, romance and healing. I loved this story and couldn't manage to put it down. Every time I planned to stop at the end of a chapter something happened and I had to keep reading to find out how it turned out. The characters are amazing, they are so kind and caring. This is an engrossing saga from start to finish.

I loved this book. It was very interesting and fun to read. I started reading it and couldn't put it down. I finished it in 2 days which is fast tor me. The story was very involving and I am definitely going to look for her other books.

I really enjoy reading Catherine Andeson's books. I first read Baby Love and was hooked. Her writing style is intrigueign along with the development of her characters throughout her series. Mulberry Moon is defiantly one I will purchase and read again. This third installment actually makes me want to reread the series from the first book. I definitely recommend people reading this author and purchasing her books.

Overall, the book was good. It was very slow at parts, so I wish the pacing was better because I got zoned out often. But it was a cute story and a fun romance.

This is the first book that I have read by Catherine Anderson, and I can't wait to read more of her books. The story of Ben & Sissy's romance just goes to show that there are genuinely good guys out there looking out for you if you give them the chance. Even with all her doubts I am glad that Sissy got the happy ending she deserved and didn't let that opportunity slip through her figures.

I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. Another great one by Catherine Anderson! Catherine Anderson's Mythic Creek series is a great one. This is a sweet series. The Sterling Brothers are part of a great family and Ben is the latest brother to find love in this book. Ben meets Sissy, the owner of the Cauldron Cafe'. She has some secrets in her past which makes her wary of men. Ben doesn't care, he only sees her warm heart and knows she is the woman for him. Join in the fun in Mystic Creek!

I adore this author. She has a way of putting you in the story, so you feel like you are participating in everything that's going on. That ability to make the reading experience personal sets her apart for me. It also makes her books very memorable, allowing me to remember scenes years and years later. And there are several scenes in this book that I will remember and giggle over forever. There were some great madcap moments that had me laughing out loud. There were also some great moments that had me teary and sighing with happiness. Add in a little mystery and some moments of angst and suspense, and a whole lotta steam and you have what for me was the perfect romance. And I loved every moment of this one.

Great romance book to read. I loved the story line and was relaxing to read at the end of my work day. I hope to read more from this author.

I really enjoyed this book. First it is a longer book (over 400 pages), so you learn a lot of the story line and the people. Second not every chapter has a sex scene, in fact no sex until later in the book and by that time your hoping for it. Add animals, love, family and a great story line that makes it a great book. Thank You Catherine Anderson for this series!

Loved this book. Some romances seem to blossom from a quick encounter but the way this one grew and progressed w as refreshing and had a feeling of truth in it. Can't wait to read more!

It was a well-written book and a decent storyline, but honestly nothing new. The only thing that made this book different were some of the "irreverent" terms, for lack of a better word. I enjoyed reading parts of it, but some parts did not ring true for the main character. Sometimes her actions were a little over the top and not believable for me. If you have a more "free way of thinking" then this might be fine for you. It a book has to make sense for me to enjoy it easily as I get stuck on those parts that don't make sense to me. Since I got to read this book for free, I feel bad leaving such an unsatisfactory review. But it's honest. One thing to consider is that I have read hundreds of books and I may be more critical than the casual reader.

From page 1 this book was action packed until the last page and I could not put it down. The characters were well developed and the story line had everything that you want to have in a book. Ben & Sissy are the perfect romance book couple and you can tell that they were perfect for each other from beginning when she was chasing the chickens. The small town feel is realistic and that everybody coming together to help each other when someone is in need. The mystery of who was stealing things in the restaurant I will leave for everyone to read for themselves. I would definitely recommend this book for everyone as it has action, romance, suspense and a hint of mischief.

Looking for a cute romance? I enjoyed this book and the characters in it. I think it goes to say that love is not easy and I think that is why I enjoyed this book. Thank you for the opportunity to review.

This was my first Catherine Anderson read and I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was sweet and heartwarming and just what I needed at this time of year. I thought the characters were really well developed and I felt the story was real and was not contrived. I definitely fell for Ben and Sissy was feisty and fun. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

This was my first introduction to this author. It was a little slow in parts and the and didn't always flow well. The characters were well developed and the story was a good one. Overall a good read.

I received an advance reader's copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review via First To Read. It is one of the most spell binding romances I have ever read! I could not put it down! Despite all obstacles they find a very deep and magical love. A must read!

I definitely enjoyed this one. A nice romance and good vacations read. The main characters are likable and the setting has potential for more stories. A little more action is sometimes nice but overall worth reading. Thanks for the opportunity to be a first reader on this one.

The overall experience of reading the book was good. I think, there are parts that could have been eliminated. The suspense to Sissy experiences is told too often, by the time the story is revealed I'd figured it out. The dad coming in and the mom not being involved is a nice touch.

This was my first introduction to this author and I was impressed. What a lot of romance stories seem to lack for me is a firm foundation to make a love story truly believable. Some readers may start to grow bored with the seemingly mundane details, like chicken coops and broken legs. But through the day to day of these details, real life couples fall in love. I find a lot of romance want to either center on the instant physical attraction and sexual aspect of a relationship that miraculously turns into a life long love, or grand stand on moral character as that foundation without actually showing the reader how the two people come to not only love each other but trust and rely on each other as well. With this author (and all of my favorite romance writers) the attention to those detail really make the story worth reading for me. When the characters have really been developed, it's easier to sympathize, cheer on, and/or cry for their ups and downs. And makes the inevitable 'happy ever after' that much sweeter. I will only give it 4.5 stars simply because it seem to wrap up a bit to quickly. But I still got to experience all the feels; I laughed, cried, was horrified, and finally cheered at the end.

About a third way into this book, I had read enough about chickens and chicken coops. It was a sweet story but a slow read. Ms. Anderson is a very thorough storyteller but the book isn't anything I would normally read or recommend to others.

This is the first book I read by this author. I really enjoyed the book. The characters were very well developed and were full of life and emotion. Ben and Sissy were a sweet couple. Their story is not without problems. The town of Mystic Creek is certainly a g a great place to live. I would definitely read more novels by this author. 5 stars!

Mulberry Moon by Catherine Anderson is the third book in the compelling Mystic Creek novel series from the New York Times bestselling author. It follows Silver Thaw and New Leaf. Readers who have been enthralled and entertained by the author in the earlier two books will definitely enjoy this latest outing from the author.

Ms Anderson does it again! This is such a sweet story, but it comes with a soul tearing background for Sissy. Ben is perfect! It is at times hilarious and others tear jerking. It is so much fun to get to visit with the inhabitants of Mystic Creek again. I surly hope Ms Anderson has the new pharmacist in line for his own book! One cannot go wrong in a read from Catherine Anderson. She delivers beyond expectation with each new book. 5 Stars!!!
