Maddie struggles with the challenges of dating a rock star whose career has come roaring back to life while Nikki faces the daunting realities of mothering twins at forty-seven. And Bitsy is about to find out whether the rewards of seeking revenge will outweigh the risks.

Luckily, when the going gets tough, the ladies of Ten Beach Road know that their friendship--tried and tested--can chase away the darkest clouds and let the sun shine in...

Advance Galley Reviews

This is the essence of a fun beach read. Women finding their mojo along the beautiful seaside. I could definitely see myself reading this book and loving it as I sit by the ocean. It is a continuation of Ms. Wax's series Ten Beach Road series, and I really enjoyed it. The four women must rent out their beloved home after the loss of their reality show. I have read some of the other books in the series, but I think that this one pretty well stands on its own. Enough context is provided regarding the history of the characters to make the story flow. On that note, if you are a fan of the series, I love getting to continue the story of the characters. It is fun with a little touch of rock star and Hollywood worlds.

I love the books in this series, and this one is no exception. I liked how each woman got to live her own story in this one, rather than one big group project. I’m so glad Kyra finally saw through Daniel, and sees Troy for who he really is. I enjoyed the addition of Bitsy to the group as well. So hoping there’s another book in the future!

Best Beach Ever, a novel by Wendy Wax, was surprisingly written right in my backyard.  As a resident of Florida, living in Pinellas County (St Petersburg-Clearwater area for those unfamiliar), I was shocked when I started to read this book and I recognized all of the locations mentioned by the author.  But, having never read any of the books in the Ten Beach Road series, I was left feeling like an uninvited guest overhearing a conversation. I read a lot of books and many of those books are part of series.  Most books in those series, while they may mention previous characters or situations, I've felt that most of those books are capable of standing alone.  However, in Best Beach Ever, book six in the series, I felt that I was coming in having missed out on a lot of what was going on. Unfortunately, for me, what that means is that I didn't feel invested in the characters because I didn't even really know them as they had been introduced (I think) in past books.  I felt that the reader was to be expected to already know who all the players were. The main gist of the series is that there is a group of women, friends, sisters, mothers, aunts, who help each other in the situations that they are going through.  I felt that one of the plots that followed a woman whose husband had basically embezzled all of her money was fantastical.  One of the woman's friends was married to a member of the FBI and that man was able to set up the criminal husband and catch him to bring him to justice. There was another much more plausible story of an actor, who gets a woman pregnant out of wedlock, and their son is asked to be a part of one of the man's movies.  Unfortunately, he tries to get her back under the nose of his current wife, who's caring for their children. Best Beach Ever was pretty easy to read (with exceptions written about above) and it can be read in a short period of time.  However, if you're going to read this book, I do recommend reading the whole series, in order, so that you don't miss out on the rest of the story. I received this product in exchange for an honest review.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review of this book. This is another book in the Ten Beach Roach Series. This is the first one that I have read however. I fell in love with the characters, and will be going back to read the rest of the series. This is one of the best group of female friends I have read about in a long time. They all have their own faults, but they support each other more than I have seen in a while. I LOVE this group of women! Maddie, Nikki, Avery, Kyra, & Bitsy are all trying to rebuild their lives and careers trying to figure out what to do with their lives. I absolutely loved this story!

This is a fun beach read with the character you have come to love from the previous books. Thank you First To Read for giving me the opportunity to read an advanced copy of Best Beach Ever by Wendy Wax.

It’s always so much fun catching up with the ladies of ‘Ten Beach Road’. The sisterhood bond keeps getting stronger and the love and respect these women have for each other makes me long for the same bonds in my own life. I enjoy watching each woman grow and develop as she is challenged. Maddie, Nikki, Avery, Kyra, and Bitsy are each at different roads in their life, and each are facing different problems, but each and every one of them come out from the challenges as a stronger, better person after facing down her demon. In addition to the women, I love the setting. I grew up in St Petersburg and love reading about familiar sites and sounds as author Wendy Wax brings them to life. I have often driven past the beautiful, old YMCA building that is mentioned in her latest book, ‘Best Beach Ever’, and I hope that we get to see Avery tackling it as her next project in a forthcoming book. [Even though this old Grande Dame of a building continues to languish in real life.] Thank you, Wendy, as you continue to tackle issues within your books that all women face throughout their life. And to see the women tackle them with such grace and dignity, and to come out stronger for it.

I've read a lot of stories like this one and wasn't hating it but not really impressed. It could have something to do with this being book six and this is where I started. But it could just be that it wasn't a stand out.

Best Beach Ever was a cute read- perfect for summer! At the time I read the book, I had not read anything previously written by this author, and wasn’t aware that it was the newest book in a series. While having read previous books seem like they would contribute some background information on this new storyline & its characters, it was not necessary to the enjoyment of the book, and it could easily stand alone.

Wendy Wax is a phenomenal author. The Ten Beach Road Series is one of my all-time favorites. I love being able to catch up with the girls each year, and I hope Wendy keeps writing these novels forever! Best Beach Ever is a wonderful novel. It is funny, moving, and sometimes sad. I cannot wait until the next installment!!

Wendy Wax hits it out of the ballpark with this novel! I love all of my ladies -- Kyra, Bitsy, Nikki, Avery and Maddie! So glad to get caught back up with their lives! Cannot wait for the next installment!

Wendy wax has become one of the authors I look forward to each summer! I enjoyed this book, the characters and the stories. Thanks for the opportunity.

I received an ARC of this book from First to Read. On the whole I enjoyed this book. However at times I just wanted to tell most of the characters to just stop whining and feeling sorry for themselves. I realize you have to have drama to have a good story but ........ I do like how Wendy Wax has cont this story from the beginning and the restoration of Bella Flora.

Best Beach Ever brings back the ladies of 10 Beach Road facing new problems and situations at the Sunshine Beach Club. It’s a run read and I enjoyed being drawn back into their lives. I love this series and although you don’t have to read the previous books, the continuity of the stories do connect and add to the storyline. Wendy Wax does a wonderful job in creating a sense of place and character, and I feel like I am on the beach in Florida, waiting for the sunset, and enjoying the friendship of these “beach ladies”. Great read, pack it in your beach bag as you head to the lake or shore!

I received an advance copy of this book from First to Read in exchange for an honest review. I am sorry. I don't think I have read Wendy Wax before, but I could not get into this book. It was like reading a soap opera and that is just not my cup of tea. I see that others liked it and have read others in the series. Maybe if I had read some of the others I would have felt differently, but I just could nott get it.

Summer must be getting close because the women of Ten Beach Road are back at the beach with an entertaining new novel. I have only read the first two novels in this series and was a bit confused at times so I suggest that you read the series in order. That said, now I have the fun of going back to the beginning and reading all the adventures of the eclectic group of friends. The group of friends in this book give us a bit of everything that bothers women - we have a mom trying to learn to live life with twin babies while she is worried about getting rid of her baby fat, a mom who has learned to love again while she is still worried about her daughter and grandson, a woman who has is afraid to love and another woman who has been cheated out of her money by a man she loved. The best part - it takes place at the beach and there is a happy ending for everyone! This is a perfect series of books to put in your suitcase or add to your Kindle for that beach vacation.

This has to be one of my favorite book series. I just love anything at the beach. But this series makes you really love all of these characters. I love the progression of their lives, from the beginning when they met at Bella Flora, until now especially with the addition of Bitsy. All of the characters feel like someone you can relate to and that's what makes this book and the series so wonderful. You just get lost in the everyday of their lives that you find yourself cheering for them and smiling to yourself. I hope there is another book to this series but this particular book could be the best ending for the series.

It was nice to catch up with the close group of varied age friends again. Through a mixture of fun, drama and relationship problems, they are there to comfort, support and, especially, to celebrate each other. Best Beach Ever is an easy entertaining read. Thanks to the First To Read program for the early copy.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. As indicated in the book intro it is about friendship. I didn’t find the storylines of the characters particularly entertaining and for me, the best parts were when the friends were together themselves. Initially I found that there were lots of references to alcohol in relation to the friendship, but note that this took more of a back seat as the nature of the friendship developed through the pages. It would be a good book to take to the beach fora lazy afternoon. Definitely not a page-turner type of book for me.

This was the second Wendy Wax book I have read in this series. I like that they are all fairly stand alone and it is easy to pick up and understand what is going on. I loved the group of friends in this book and liked how they come together when needed to accomplish something that each one of them needs. I especially liked the part when Bitty's husband received his reckoning for stealing from a woman that loved him. I will be going back and reading the other books in this series to catch up.

Great book. I read all the books in the series. I love the character growth and development.

This is the first book by Wendy Wax that I have read. I was happy to receive access to this one because I have wanted to read one in this series. This is a good summer vacation set. While I didn't find this book overly thrilling, it was a solid read. The characters are warm & friendly. You will find yourself wishing for friends like these for sunset drinks at the waters edge.

"Best Beach Ever" is the fifth in the Ten Beach Road series. It centers on Bitsy (previously wealthy, her husband absconded a year ago with all of her money, and she is now trying to find him and get justice), Avery (a tiny-home architect and builder, in love with childhood friend Chase but unwilling to commit [and rather whiny about it] until she finally does, and in love with Cheez Doodles but a little too committed); Nikki (married to Joe, mother of twins at age forty-seven, threatened by Luvie the nanny, and frankly, her story kind of bored me); Kyra (former mistress of actor Daniel; mother to Dustin, who is acting in his father's directorial debut; took out a loan against the house they apparently remodeled in previous books, and angry that her nemesis, Troy, is the one who rented it, and he's in love with her but she's still in love with Daniel [yawn]; and Maddie (mother to Kyra, involved with rock star Will, freaking out about going on tour with him but eventually learns to embrace their relationship). I really thought I'd like Wendy Wax, but this book was just okay. To be fair, I have not read the other books in the series, so perhaps if I had, I would have connected more easily with the characters (though I felt like there was enough backstory included that I didn't necessarily need to read the other five books previous to reading this one) or with their struggles (not having previous interactions with Troy and Kyra perhaps altered the impact of their romance a little bit). I felt that the book could have been much shorter; there were sections that I skimmed because it felt repetitive or included extraneous information (particularly the parts about the movie shoot). There was some humor interlaced in the writing that I appreciated, though I wished there was a little more of it to make the storylines a little more interesting. I don't think I'll be jumping to read others in this series or by Wax; there are other "beach read" authors out there who do it much better.

Let me begin by saying that I am a lover of all things Wendy Wax. She is no doubt one of my favorite authors and I feel like I won the lottery when I got to read an advanced copy of the next Ten Beach Road series. This book starts the ladies down a new path as their reality show “Do Over” has come to and end and each must figure out what they are going to do now. The thing I like most about this series is how likable these ladies are and how their friendship makes them stronger. The love and support that they have for each other makes them a formidable bunch! Another strong book in this series and definitely worth putting on your to read list. As always, thanks to Penguin Random House for the opportunity to read this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is an enjoyable story about friends and family relationships. The love and support among the characters endures as the story unfolds and the characters are faced with their individual challenges. This is the perfect read to kick off that sunny summer feeling.

I am glad I chose to read this book. This is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. It held my attention right from the beginning. The further I read the harder it was to put down. Loved It!

This was my first introduction to these characters and while the book does stand alone, there is a lot of backstories that would probably be beneficial to read. Best Beach Ever has a lot of characters in it and sometimes it is hard to keep track of whose story is whose as it jumps around a lot. There wasn't anything particularly engaging in this story but I suspect it's because this is where I started. If you already know these characters, you'll probably enjoy the read. It isn't bad, it just isn't great.

Love this series! Another great addition! Can’t wait for the next one!!

I always look forward to the adventures & misadventures these women get into. They are everday problems that we can all relate to at some time in our lives. Although this is a light read it does have philosophical messages in it. It's great for a summer read, in the tub or just a pick me up when live keeps handing you lemons. I hope there will be another book to follow.

This book was an entertaining read about family and friends helping each other get through the day to day of life. The Ten Beach Road ladies are a strong group of women who are ready to deal with whatever life throws at them.

I cannot begin to express how much I loved this book. Every time I read a Ten Beach Road book, I feel like I have come home to my best friends. I love the resolutions which occur in this book and found I was ready to see them, but am very glad the story was not completely tied up in a happy bow! These characters have changed and grown so much in this series, but they still have stories to tell. I anticipate this book to be a huge beach read this summer!

I have loved this series since the beginning. Wendy Wax makes you want to be friends and have margaritas and watch the sunset with this crew. I found myself cheering them on and and am hopeful that this is not the last book.
