Advance Galley Reviews

This book is not just for the first time homebuyer, but raises informative points for any homebuyer. It's well organized so you can just read the sections you are interested in. It's such a good resource I plan on buying a reference copy for myself.

I did not read every word of the book because I already knew some of this information. I didn't enjoy the little stories the author added. However, if you are young and just starting to look for a home, this is an excellent resource.

I received an ARC of this book from First to Read in exchange for an honest review. I wish I had "100 Questions Every First-Time Home Buyer Should Ask" when I was buying my first home! I really like the easy to use table contents and the in depth information. This book covered things I hadn't thought of before. I definitely plan on using the knowledge gained from this book when buying my next home.

I am currently in the process of buying my first house. This book is so valuable. It covers everything you could possibly think of. I highly recommend it!

I didn't really find this all that informative. Most of the questions answered were pretty obvious. Might be worth reading, for some people, though.

100 Question Every First Time Home Buyer Should Ask covers just about every question I can think of when considering buying a home, whether it's a first, second or even 5th home purchase. It not only covers the "should I buy", but also the "how" involved in purchasing a home. It includes worksheets! I love worksheets that help with itemizing lists of what's important to least important in features looked for in a home. It covers the pros and cons of a new vs existing home. This book is packed with loads of information on buying a home, the entire process behind it, including the move and warranties.

Even though I have passed that first time home buyer rite of passage, I enjoyed reading this and learned some things that will be beneficial in the future. It is a good reference guide to have whether you are buying your first home or your last. Buying a house can be such an emotional roller coaster and as the single largest purchase many people will ever make, it's a good idea to have a practical guide and advise on hand. There is a good question and answer section that covers many, many issues. Even though I learned quite a bit after purchasing my first home, I don't buy and sell often, so each time, thoughI'm a bit wiser in some areas, it actually feels in some ways like the “ first time”. I definitely took some notes to remind me of some areas I failed to adequately consider in the past and it was a good refresher for my next home purchase. Thank you Ilyce R. Glink and First to Read for the digital ARC to read and review.

This is a great book for first home buyers. The information is explained in ways that are easy to understand and engaging. The table of contents makes it easy to find the answers you are looking for. I would definitely recommend it for anyone buying their first home.

Wow. This book leaves no stone unturned. I'm hoping to buy a house in a few years, and figured I'd get a good overview of what to keep in mind, but what I got was an in-depth, thorough education in all the things that I'll need to remember, know, and prepare before, during, and after purchasing a home. I'm going to have to buy the hard copy when the time comes to actually start looking, so I can remember everything and take notes! The book is very densely packed with information, so if you're looking for just casual reading, this isn't the book for you. This book is for people who want to buy a home, and want to prepare for the entire process so they can be informed and knowledgeable buyers. Highly recommend!
